Road to EURO2020 | interactive tables

The project FHSI (Football History and Statistic in Infographics) presents interactive tables of the qualifying groups to the final stage EURO 2020.

All tables correspond to the Regulations of the UEFA European Football Championship 2018-20.

1. Number of teams in a group and composition of groups in accordance with Article 13 Regulations:
13.01 All the teams participating in the competition are entered in the qualifying group stage draw, organised by the UEFA administration on completion of the UEFA Nations League in order to draw the teams into ten groups of five or six.

The composition of the groups is presented in accordance with European Qualifiers draw on 2 December 2018. Dublin.

2. Number of matches in the group and awarded the number of points in accordance with Article 14 Regulations:
14.01 All matches in the qualifying group stage are played according to the league system, with each team playing one home match and one away match against each of the other teams in its group. Three points are awarded for a win, one for a draw, and none for a defeat.

3. Winner and runner-up in the group (in bold) shall be determined in accordance with Article 14 Regulations:
14.02 On completion of the qualifying group stage, final group standings are compiled based on the number of points obtained by each team in the group. The ten group winners and the ten group runners-up qualify directly for the final tournament.

4. When you enter the results of matches, the tables are automatically recalculated in accordance with the criteria set out in Article 15 Regulations:
15.01 If two or more teams in the same group are equal on points on completion of the qualifying group stage, the following criteria are applied, in the order given, to determine their rankings:
a. higher number of points obtained in the group matches played among the teams in question;
b. superior goal difference from the group matches played among the teams in question;
c. higher number of goals scored in the group matches played among the teams in question;
d. higher number of goals scored away from home in the group matches played among the teams in question;
e. if, after having applied criteria a) to d), teams still have an equal ranking, criteria a) to d) are reapplied exclusively to the matches between the remaining teams to determine their final rankings. If this procedure does not lead to a decision, criteria f) to l) apply in the order given to the two or more teams still equal;
f. superior goal difference in all group matches;
g. higher number of goals scored in all group matches;
h. higher number of away goals scored in all group matches;
i. higher number of wins in all group matches;
j. higher number of away wins in all group matches;
k. lower disciplinary points total based only on yellow and red cards received in all group matches (red card = 3 points, yellow card = 1 point, expulsion for two yellow cards in one match = 3 points);
l. position in the overall UEFA Nations League rankings (see Regulations of the UEFA Nations League).
